  18. <p>     Starring in her own comedy series, Dr. Ruth Westheimer
  19. thought, was "crazy." But the dynamic Dr. Ruth, 61, known for
  20. dispensing sex advice on the airwaves, was won over by a script
  21. making her a college psychology professor. She imposed one
  22. condition: that she have a "romantic interest." For a scene in
  23. the first episode, to air on ABC this fall, she was ready to
  24. pretend to smooch. "I know how to fake," she admits, but when
  25. asked to pucker up for the real thing, "I was embarrassed. The
  26. whole world is going to watch me kiss. But I do like it."
