- <p> Starring in her own comedy series, Dr. Ruth Westheimer
- thought, was "crazy." But the dynamic Dr. Ruth, 61, known for
- dispensing sex advice on the airwaves, was won over by a script
- making her a college psychology professor. She imposed one
- condition: that she have a "romantic interest." For a scene in
- the first episode, to air on ABC this fall, she was ready to
- pretend to smooch. "I know how to fake," she admits, but when
- asked to pucker up for the real thing, "I was embarrassed. The
- whole world is going to watch me kiss. But I do like it."
